The Barlow Theatre - Langley - Saturday 6th February 2010
The first concert of the year got off to a good start with the choir performing some favourites, ably supported by their accompanists, Helen Parker and John Barber.
And the choir were particularly pleased to welcome a new chorister, Keith Hunter, who joins the 2nd tenors.

Martin Evans, who also sings with Tantallon, was the guest artiste for the evening.

Annual Concert - The Barlow Theatre - Langley
Resplendent in their new uniforms, once again the choir proved to be in fine form, performing to a sell-out audience at their Annual Concert at the Barlow Theatre in Langley.

The choir’s guests were the very talented ‘Tantallon’.

Choir Annual Dinner - The Terrace Restaurant - Brownhills
The choir, their partners and guests enjoyed the Choir’s Annual Dinner on Friday 30th October.
The evening proved to be a success and finished off with the choir performing some favourites.
Congratulations must go to David Waplington who, after having served the choir for 41 years, was made a Life Member of the Choir.

Wesley Methodist Church - Saturday 26th September
The choir’s chosen charity for this year is Hamlin Fistula UK. One of the choirs’ accompanists (Helen Parker) performed an organ recital at Wesley Methodist Chapel in West Bromwich, where she is the organist. Part of the monies raised from this recital were given to the Hamlin Fistula charity.

On hand was the charity’s Honorary Treasure, Clive Hewitt, who is also a member of the choir, and Clive gave a brief, yet informative, talk about the charity’s work.
A few members of the choir were also present, lending their support to the fundraising.

Donations to this extremely worthy charity can be made via the Hamlin Fistula website.
The Choir
Can you sing? Or read music? Quite a few choir members couldn’t when they first joined the choir. It isn’t a prerequisite to be able to read music (but it helps!).

About the Choir

The Warley Male Choir was formed in 1943 by a group of air raid wardens and has grown to become known and respected throughout the Midlands. Warley is in the West Midlands, situated between Dudley and Birmingham, in the borough of Sandwell.
Musical Director - Steve Allen
Most of our concerts are given in aid of charity and the choir has raised many thousands of pounds over the years. The majority of our concerts are given in the Midlands, but the choir has also performed in Germany, France, Belgium, and Holland, as well as many times in Wales, including visits to the International Eisteddfod at Llangollen. The choir has also toured Devon and Cornwall on three occasions, raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
